- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE only. Response to this notice will be used for information and planning purposes. No proposals or quotes are being requested or accepted with this notice. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS or QUOTES and NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. This notice shall NOT be construed as solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System (VAGCVHCS) is seeking, preferably small, businesses capable of providing quarterly galley hood ventilation cleaning and decreasing and semi-annual galley hood cleaning, degreasing and suppression testing and maintenance services to the VAMC main campus in Biloxi, MS and the Joint Ambulatory Care Center (JACC) in Pensacola, FL. The VA is looking to award one firm-fixed contract to cover both locations for a base year and four (4) one-year option periods. The contractor shall furnish all their own labor, equipment, vehicles, materials, and supplies incidental to providing the requested service maintenance and repairs. (See Statement of Work below) Offeror's response to this Notice shall be limited to 5 pages and shall include the following information: "Offeror's company name, DUNS, Federal Tax ID, address, point of contact, title, phone number, and email address "Offeror's interest in bidding on the solicitation when it is issued to www.fbo.gov. "Offeror's capability to meet this requirement including any current contracts (Civilian or Government). Response must show clear and convincing evidence that your company has the capabilities and qualifications to provide this service to be considered as a source. SDVOSB and VOSB shall also show evidence that they will perform 51% of the work (additional 5 pages allowed). All parties are asked to identify any subcontractors that shall also be utilized. "Offeror's type of business (small or large) and socioeconomic status whether Service Disable Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, Hubzone, 8(a), Woman Owned, Small Disadvantaged, etc. If applicable, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran-Owned (VOSB) must be verified with the seal in VetBiz to be considered as a source. Same for/with subcontractor. The NAICS code 561790, Other Services to Buildings and Dwellings, applies and the Size Standard is $7 million. Responses must be received by no later than 4:00 pm Central, July 11, 2014. Responses shall be emailed to Beth.Mohney@va.gov using "sources sought number VA256-14-Q-1083SRC" in the subject line. Facsimile or Telephonic responses will not be accepted. Simply responding as an "interested party" in www.fbo.gov doesn't constitute your company as a source. Offeror must provide the above requested information by the time and date specified to be considered a source. After review of the responses to this sources sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be published on the FBO website in the near future. Responses to this sources sought notice are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought notice. All interested parties are reminded to be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award of Government contracts. SCOPE OF WORK Dining Hall and Canteen area (Bldg. 21) Community Living Center (Bldg. 15) Biloxi, MS Perform Inspection, Testing, Maintenance and Documentation of Galley Hood and Exhaust Vent System on galley equipment in accordance with NFPA 101 and NFPA Standard 96. NFPA Standard 96 requires inspection, testing and routine maintenance of the below outlined systems at a minimum, on a semi-annual basis. For the purposes of this contract, vendor shall perform this procedure on a semi-annual basis in February 2015 and August 2015. Dining Hall and Canteen area (Bldg 21) (4.1) General requirements (11.2) Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Fire Extinguisher Systems CLC (Bldg. 15) (Small Stand Alone Stove with Hood Suppression System) (4.1) General requirements (11.2) Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM)of Fire Extinguisher Systems ITM Tasks, ITM tasks should be performed by craftsperson's trained/qualified in the inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of the subject fire protection systems or subsystems. Tasks: oTest actuation and control of components, including remote pull stations and mechanical electrical devices, detectors and actuators oChange all fusible metal alloy links oService portable extinguishers as needed oEnsure entire area is cleaned after inspection, testing, maintenance and cleaning of galley equipment systems. SCOPE OF WORK Joint Ambulatory Care Clinic Pensacola, FL Perform Inspection, Testing, Maintenance, Cleaning and Documentation of Galley Hood and Degreasing Exhaust Vent System on galley equipment in accordance with NFPA I 0 I and NFPA Standard 96. NFPA Standard 96 requires inspection, testing and routine maintenance of the below outlined systems at a minimum, on a semi-annual basis. For the purposes of this contract, vendor shall perform Galley Hood Degreasing on a semi-annual basis in February 2015 and August 2015. Canteen area (4.1) General requirements (11.2) Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM)of Fire Extinguisher Systems (11.6) Cleaning of galley Degreasing Hood Exhaust Vent Systems ITM Tasks, ITM tasks should be performed by craftsperson's trained/qualified in the inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of the subject fire protection systems or subsystems. Tasks: oTest actuation and control of components, including remote pull stations and mechanical electrical devices, detectors and actuators oChange all fusible metal alloy links oService portable extinguishers as needed oGalley hoods, fans, ducts, and other appurtenances shall be cleaned to remove combustible contaminants oPlace all required certification tags of equipment oEnsure entire area is cleaned after inspection, testing, maintenance and cleaning of galley equipment systems. SCOPE OF WORK Dining Hall and Canteen area (Bldg. 21) Biloxi, MS Perform Inspection, Cleaning and Documentation of Galley Hood and Degreasing Exhaust Vent System on galley equipment in accordance with NFPA 101 and NFPA Standard 96. NFPA Standard 96 requires inspection, testing and routine degreasing maintenance of the below outlined systems at a minimum, on a semi-annual basis. For the purposes of this contract, Galley Hood Degreasing shall be accomplished on a quarterly basis in December 2014, March 2015, June 2015, and September 2015. Dining Hall and Canteen area (Bldg 21) (11.6) Cleaning of Galley Degreasing Hood Exhaust Vent Systems ITM Tasks, ITM tasks should be performed by craftsperson's trained/qualified in the inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of the subject fire protection systems or subsystems. Tasks: oCover all equipment prior to cleaning process oGalley hoods, fans, ducts, and other appurtenances shall be cleaned to remove combustible contaminants oPlace all required certification tags of equipment oEnsure entire area is cleaned after inspection, testing, maintenance and cleaning of galley equipment systems.
