III 3 Rutgers Plaza New Brunswick, N.J. 08901 ATTN: Gail Schmidt, Senior Buyer Phone: (848) 932-2907, Fax: (732) 932-4390 Email: gschmidt@rci.rutgers.edu Date for receipt of proposals : Friday, August 8, 2014 The National Transit Institute (NTI) is seeking proposals from qualified professionals to facilitate its existing Transportation and Land Use course. In addition, NTI may periodically request proposers to edit/update the existing course materials. NTI's Transportation and Land Use three-day course i s designed to assist participants in understanding the relationships between transportation and land use; the processes through which transportation and land use issues can be jointly addressed; and implementation steps to ensure that transportation and land use systems are designed in a compatible, mutually supportive manner. Course participants include planning and engineering staff at state, regional, local, and federal transportation agencies; local planning staff and officials; staff of other resource agencies; consultants for these agencies; and other stakeholders such as developers, citizen activists, and business leaders.
