RFQs from sources that have the capability to provide this software and maintenance will be accepted. Revised RFQ is attached. ******************************************** The United States Department of Agriculture, National Information Technology Center (NITC), has a requirement for ICF Catalog Backup and Recovery Software and Maintenance. This is a request for quotes from sources that have the capability to provide this software and maintenance. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation issued in accordance with Part 13 of Title 48 of the Code of Federal Regulations (known as the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; no separate written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation number is AG-64WC-S-14-0001. Quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. No additional notification will be issued by the USDA NITC. There is an attached file which provides specific information on how to respond and submit quotes. All respondents are required to supply their Authorized Reseller contract number and documentation as part of their quotation. PURPOSE: The NITC has a requirement for software that will backup, recover and provide diagnostic capability to ICF Catalog structures. The ICF Catalog is an important critical system dataset that requires backups to repair errors in the catalog structures. There are thousands of datasets that are cataloged in an ICF Catalog structure. SCOPE: The Contractor shall deliver and provide OEM new software and maintenance in accordance with the requirements identified in this RFQ. SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS: The software vendor shall provide software meeting the requirements identified in this combined synopsis/solicitation. 508 COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS: The Government is required to determine if the acquisition meets 508 compliance requirements.. Mandatory Registrations. To be eligible for award, registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) must be current (legacy for On-line Registration and Certifications Application (ORCA) and Central Contractor Registration (CCR) registrations). To register or update former CCR and Reps & Certs that are not current go to https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ and provide mandatory information. All submissions must be submitted by the designated date and time indicated. Quotes received after the closing date and time will be processed as late and handled in accordance with FAR 15.208. USDA NITC bears no responsibility for data errors resulting from download or conversion processes. Any amendments to this combined synopsis/solicitation will be issued and posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website (http://www.fbo.gov). Offerors are encouraged to check this website regularly. Issuance of this combined synopsis/solicitation does not obligate the U.S. Government to make an award, nor does it commit the U.S. Government to pay for costs incurred in the preparation and submission of a proposal.
