- Description
- The NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) has a requirement procure Siemens PLM software with the associated annual maintenance support. Numerous software packages manufactured by Siemens PLM including NX I-deas, NX Nastran, NX Freeform Modeler, NX Advanced Designer, and FEMAP. Siemens PLM software is for product lifecycle management used to optimize the product lifecycle process, from planning and development through manufacturing and support. NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to Saratech of Lake Forest, CA under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Saratech is the authorized regional reseller for Siemens. The period of performance will include a one year base period. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-72. The Government intends to acquire commercial items and services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The NAICS Code is 541519 Other Computer Related Services, 150 Size Standars in number of employees. The following clauses and provisions are applicable to this combined synopsis/solicitation: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors; 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and CertificationsCommercial Items; 52.212-4 Contract Terms and ConditionsCommercial Items; 52-212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive OrdersCommercial Items. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on June 26, 2014. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
