- Description
- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. In accordance with FAR Part 12, the Government has awarded this requirement on a Sole Source basis to Orion Communication Systems, Inc., 3401 Masons Mill Rd. Bldg. 2, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006-3596, under the authority of Title 10 U.S.C 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) has a requirement for the Orion Communication System MT32 Voice Conference Switch System. This procurement is part of a Real-Time Telemetry Processing System IV (RTPS IV) upgrade at the Atlantic Test Range (ATR). The RTPS IV is a Navy Improvement and Modernization effort aimed at replacing the existing telemetry processing systems at ATR. RTPS IV provides processing and display of data which is transmitted as telemetry signals from the aircraft or other test articles. The Orion Communication System MT32 Voice Conference Switch System is a portable system already in place; RTPS Communications personnel are well versed in troubleshooting the Orion Communication System MT32 Voice Conference Switch System; and is currently used for multiple remote site support missions. The Orion Communication System MT32 Voice Conference Switch System is necessary to support remote operations allowing test teams to be able to communicate with each other via sub networks other than UHF radio, which will compromise security.
