- Description
- The National Eye Institute (NEI) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to solicit a contract with Cellular Dynamics International, Inc., to fulfill the requirement for the generation of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) grade induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines from skin and blood samples collected from patients with age-related macular degenerative disease; optimization of the retinal pigment epithelium differentiation process from iPSC lines PSC-RPE process; and the manufacture GMP grade RPE cells. The anticipated period of performance is August 1, 2014 through July 31, 2016. Authority: 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations and does not commit the Government to any contractual agreement. A Sources Sought Notice had been posted as HHSNIHODSBSS14013 on June 6, 2014. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
