Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation in its entirety; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement shall be conducted under FAR Parts 12 Commercial Acquisitions and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Award to this solicitation shall be based on the Offeror's ability to provide those specific supplies and services stated in the solicitation. Solicitation number VA262-14-Q-0934 is issued as a "Brand Name or Equal" request for quotation (RFQ). The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 423430. The Small Business size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business firms who are capable of providing the requirements described within this solicitation. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price award. Responses to the solicitation shall be due on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 12:00 PST. Offerers are advised to review and monitor the FBO website to ensure receipt of the most recent information, including all amendments. (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Factor 1 - Technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement Factor 2 - Price (b) A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. Before the offer's specified expiration time, the Government may accept an offer (or part of an offer), whether or not there are negotiations after its receipt, unless a written notice of withdrawal is received before award.
