Description

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION / SOURCES SOUGHT INQUIRY The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19, Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center (RMAC) is seeking information and sources that are capable of providing courier services for the George E. Wahlen VA Salt Lake City Health Care System and the Western Salt Lake City Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) and Pathology and Laboratory Service. The NAICS code for this notice is 492110 - Couriers and Express Delivery Services. The contractor shall provide regularly scheduled pickups and delivery of a variety of items including, but not limited to, lab specimens, x-rays and/or compact disk materials, medical equipment and supplies, pharmaceuticals, other small equipment items, soiled/clean linen, mail, etc. Protective packaging will be provided by the origination site. In addition to the scheduled weekday pickup/delivery, there may be other non-scheduled deliveries. Occasionally a one-time delivery may be requested to a location other than a VA facility. Usually the deliveries will fit easily into a small van, sport utility vehicle or station wagon with available cargo space of approximately 192 cubic feet (4'x6'x8') for deliverable items. The pickup and delivery locations for these services are as follows: VA Salt Lake City Health Care System, Pathology & Laboratory Service, 500 Foothill Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah 84148; Utah Public Health Laboratories, 46 North Medical Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah 84113; Utah Department of Health, 46 North Medical Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah 84113; Western Salt Lake Community Based Outpatient Clinic, 2750 South 5600 West Ste. B, West Valley City, Utah 84120. This is a request for information and sources only, which may or may not lead to a future solicitation! This is not a request for proposal (RFP). The VA will not pay for any information received resulting from this sources sought notice. Requests for copies of a solicitation shall not be honored or acknowledged. Information should be forwarded to the Contract Specialist. Any questions should be addressed to the Contract Specialist, in writing, at the email address provided. Because this is a request for information only, answers to questions will not be posted.
