Description

VA Syracuse seeking Service Disabled Veteran, Veteran Owned Small Business, and Small Business contractor to provide five (5) Surgi-Scan Medical Instrument Metal Detectors. The Department of Veterans Affairs Syracuse VA Medical Center has a requirement for five (5) Surgi-Scan Medical Instrument Metal Detectors (brand name or equal to model #DC-SID08 manufactured by Destined Commodities, Inc.) with the following salient characteristics: "Shall be able to detect ferrous and non-ferrous type metals (including stainless steel) located in a waste bag or laundry bag "Adjustable sensitivity control "Operate on a 110/220 VAC Wall Adapter The anticipated procurement will be at a firm fixed price. The facility location is 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, New York 13210. The NAICS code is 339112, and the size standard is 500 employees. Response to this announcement shall determine if sufficient competition exists to set aside procurement for Service Disabled Veteran Operated Small Business, Small Veteran Owned Business, or other Small Business Set-Aside Categories or Small Business. Please provide interest in this solicitation as soon as possible by 3pm on Monday, June 30, 2014, indicating business size and other pertinent information about your business.
