- MARKET RESEARCH QUESTIONNAIRE R-243-0459 Rev A --- PROPULSION SHAFT REFURBISHMENT 378’ WHEC, 210’, 270’, 282’ WMEC, 225’ WLB and 140’ WTGB U. S. COAST GUARD VESSELS This sources sought notice is issued in accordance with FAR Part 5. For information regarding this acquisition, contact the Contracting officials listed herein. All inquiries shall be in writing. The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns or for Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB) or for Small Businesses. The NAICS code is 336611 and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. The acquisition is for receipt, inspection & condition / test reports, refurbishment, testing, preservation, packing, packaging and marking of propulsion shafts used on U. S. Coast Guard WHEC, WMEC, WLB and WTGB vessels in accordance with attached Specification R-243-0459 Rev A entitled, "PROPULSION SHAFT REFURBISHMENT 378' WHEC, 210', 270', 282' WMEC, 225' WLB and 140' WTGB U. S. COAST GUARD VESSELS," dated 03/2013. In response to this sources sought notice, please review and answer the attached market research questionnaire. Period of Performance: It is anticipated that a firm, fixed priced requirements contract will be awarded with one base year, and four option years. Place of Performance: At the prospective contractor's facility. Please respond by e-mail to 10 July 2014, 4:00 pm (EST). Questions may be referred to travis.a.spires@uscg.mil. Your response must include: (a) a positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a prime contractor; (b) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contact with telephone numbers; (c) past performance references including points of contact and telephone numbers. At least two references are requested, but more are desirable. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. Submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract as planned. The Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement will NOT be reimbursed. Solicitation documents will only be made available on www.fbo.gov; no paper solicitation packages will be made available. It is the offerors' responsibility to monitor FedBizOpps for changes or amendments to this notice.
