- Description
- Requirement : The United States Government is currently seeking office and related space in a building under in Orono, ME, that will be expiring on 9/30/2014. The Government is seeking to lease approximately 3,500 contiguous rentable square feet of office and related space. The rentable space must yield a minimum of 3,386 contiguous ANSI/BOMA Office area square feet (OASF). The lease term requirement is for 5 years and 5 firm. The space must be available for occupancy by 10/1/2014. The delineated area is within 30 miles of Hampden and Verona Island boat launces for access to Penobscot River Estuarty, within 15 miles of key partnering organizations-University of Maine Orono and Department of Marine Resources Bureau of Searun fish and habitat (Bangor, Maine), co-located with U.S. Fish Wildlife Service in same building is also beneficial. Other applicable requirements include: Parking: Eighteen (18) plus (6) structured or surface for official Government vehicles, (3) small boats plus (2) visitor parking Security (i.e. lobby, loading dock access, parking, setbacks etc, where and as applicable). Full Term: (5) years Firm Term: (5) years Option Term: N/A Additional Requirements: Access to space is Monday through Friday 7a.m-6p.m Handicap accessible entryways and meeting rooms First floor access for gear and laboratory or large freight elevator. Access to common meeting room with seating for 25 and projection screen on intermittent basis. Internet security a must Computer Room needed The Government is considering alternative space if economically advantageous. The Government will use the information it receives in response to this advertisement as a basis to develop a cost-benefit analysis and to determine whether to compete the lease requirement or pursue a sole source justification to remain at its current location. In making this determination, the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternate space that potentially can satisfy the Government's requirements, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunications infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime. The Government's decision regarding whether to relocate will be based, in part, on information received in response to this advertisement.
