Description

Department of Veterans Affairs, Network 21 Contracting Office anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal for the seismic retrofit and addition to Building 1002 at 1080 Innovation Way, Sunnyvale CA. This existing building and new addition shall be retrofitted and constructed as required by the plans and specifications that will be made available at time of solicitation posting on FBO. Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to; seismic retrofit renovation of approximately 50,000 square feet of existing spaces on two levels; construction of an approximately 5,000 square foot addition; provisions for a future office connected to the lobby addition. Solicitation will be issued as a 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). This is a Pre-Solicitation announcement only. Solicitation documents are not currently available and are expected to be available on or about the week of 23 July, 2014. Proposals will be due 30 days from the solicitation issue date. Offerors will be required to submit both a technical and cost proposal. Solicitation will contain complete proposal instructions. A Pre-Proposal Conference and Project Site Visit will be held at the construction site address stated above. The time and date of this conference will be included in the solicitation documents. All interested parties must obtain all specifications, drawings, and amendments to the solicitation through FBO. Hard copies will not be mailed. It is the responsibility of all offeror's to frequently check FBO for all notices regarding this solicitation. Estimated magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5M. Firms submitting offers must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) and Vet Biz (CVE Certified). IAW FAR 5.203, this notice is being published at least 15 days before issuance of the solicitation. Questions regarding the solicitation must be sent in writing to dennis.becker2@va.gov
