- Description
- a. The service consists of supplying a hydraulic construction type excavator (track hoe) with attachments meeting specifications below. No operator required. Equipment will be used on-board derrick barge operating on the ACF River System in Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. Work to be performed includes minor dredging of recreation or operational facilities. Other work could include snagging/hazard removal operations by utilizing cutter attachment to cut trees, stumps, or limbs underwater. b. Equipment to be delivered to/retrieved from Corps of Engineers Compound on east end of Jim Woodruff Dam, Decatur County, GA 39851, near Chattahoochee, FL. No less than 48 hours notice will be provided government of intent to deliver. Delivery shall be scheduled with Mr. Sam Hill at 229-310-9492. 2. Equipment Specification: a. Hydraulic crawler excavator. b. Maximum width to outside of tracks - 14 ft(no minimum) c. Maximum weight 90,000 lbs (no minimum) d. Minimum reach along ground - 45 ft (no maximum) e. Minimum digging depth - 20 ft below track level at a 30 ft radius(no maximum) f. Minimum gross power - 140hp (no maximum) g. Minimum Bucket -.75(3/4) cubic yard h. The bucket and shear capable of being switched by operator personnel in the field without the use of special tools. i. Hydraulic fluid must be PAG (Polyalkylene glycol) such as UCON Trident or equivalent. j. Attachment: Contractor shall provide either of the following shear attachments: No. 2 is preferred 1 - size as is appropriate for equipment with this reach capable of cutting limbs, stumps, and trunks up to 24 quote mark diameter. Should be able to cut trees up to 17 ft below track level within a 25 ft work radius. 2 - Same as number 1 with 360 degree rotating attachment. Blades operate at any stop on the rotation k. Bucket and shear must be capable of underwater operations. 3. Equipment: Bidders will provide accurate year and model information for proposed equipment, along with serial number. Equipment actually furnished must be equal to or better than that proposed, as determined by government. Government reserves the right to inspect equipment at bidder's place of business before contract award. Equipment will be in condition to render safe and efficient service. Failure of the equipment to perform to satisfaction of the government will be sufficient cause for termination of the contract, or the requirement that the equipment be replaced with equipment of satisfactory performance. 4. Rental Period: Equipment to be delivered within 30-days of contract award. Exact time will be established by agreement of both parties. Rental period will be 90 days with two 30 day option periods. Rental period begins the day of equipment delivery to government facility.
