- Synopsis: The Government intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price Contract for Microsoft Premier Support Services in support of the 311th Signal Command (Theater) (SC(T)). The contract will be awarded for a 12 month base period and three 12 month option periods. The anticipated period of performance is 28 July 2014 through 27 July 2018. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541513, Computer Facilities Management Services, with a size standard of $25.5 Million. There is no solicitation for this requirement. This Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract is not a request for competitive proposals. All information received from this notice shall be used for planning and market research purposes only. The determination to refrain from competing this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for the preparation of any information submitted or use of such information. Acknowledgement of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of the evaluation of the information received. Background: The Enterprise Directory Services and Authentication (EDS&A) project is one of the Army's key programs quote mark focused on enabling the expeditionary Army to deploy worldwide seamless information architecture. quote mark The capabilities needed on the Land War Net for the Pacific (PLWN) right now are near real-time visibility of all information technology (IT) assets, control of those assets and protecting those assets by posturing the Army's IT quote mark info-structure quote mark (technology, people, and processes) to deal with future attacks. Enterprise Directory Services provides an integrated global network for Joint, Coalition, interagency, intergovernmental, and other users who need to collaborate across organizational boundaries. The Army is replacing the multiple AD infrastructures and migrating from a series of highly decentralized, independent network domains to an Enterprise infrastructure design. The Windows 2008/2008 R2 and AD environment capitalizes on architectural design goals and seeks to implement standardization of processes and technologies for the Pacific Land War Net (PLWN) and the Joint Information Enterprise (JIE). The Enterprise SCCM, SCOM, and SCUP provide persistent asset visibility and reporting, Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) and Army Golden Master (AGM) software deployment, configuration management, monitoring, and global response for all Microsoft computing platforms. SCOPE: The Contractor shall support implementations and migrations plans by providing technical solutions and recommendations on industry best business practices for the Hawaii, Alaska, mainland Japan, Okinawa, and Korea areas of operation. The Contractor shall support Active Directory (AD), Windows 2003, Windows 2008, Exchange 2003, 2007, and 2010.
