Description

This is a PRESOLICITATION NOTICE only. The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 16, intends to issue a sole-source purchase order to Olympus America Inc., 3500 Corporate Parkway, Center Valley, Pennsylvania, 180341. This sole-source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements) for software maintenance, repair and update to the existing database system. The period of performance is rom 10/01/2014- 09/30/2015 under NAICS 511210. Clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, 52.217-9 is to extend the term of the contract for the option applies. This procurement involves all tools, labor, software updates, software license, transportation and telephone service required to maintain the Endoworks System located at the Gulf Coast Veterans Healthcare Center, 400 Veterans Avenue, Biloxi, MS 39531. For example: SW74-250, SW74-403, SW74-812, SW74-815, SW74-255 AND EW7-MAINT. This notice is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government and on an all or none basis. Interested parties must respond to this notice no later than 8:00 am on August 8, 2014 to tina.harris3@va.gov. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement VA256-14-Q-1082 in the subject line and must utilize Microsoft Office 2010 software if responding via email for compatibility. Responding as an interested party under the www.fbo.gov website doesn't constitute convincing evidence of capabilities. All interested parties are reminded to be registered with System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ in order to be eligible for award of Government contracts. No telephone calls will be accepted.
