- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Benning, Georgia is issuing a sources sought to determine the availability of potential small businesses. This is not a request for proposals or quotes. The information gathered will be used to make an informed business decision on how to procure this requirement. The Government is seeking business firms capable of providing graduate level Person of the Therapist and theological integration to the advanced civilian training for US Army Family Life Chaplain training. The family Life Chaplains primary mission is to train and support Unit Ministry Teams in the professional skills required for effective soldier-family ministry. PURPOSE: The purpose of this Sources Sought is to seek interested Small Business firms in order to reaffirm the initial research that it may be possible to set-aside for Small Business concerns. The preferred strategy is to procure this requirement as 100% small business set aside. The Government will not award a contract based on this Sources Sought Notice, information received, not reimburse participants for information they provide. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR TECHNICAL OR COST PROPOSALS. This is a request for small business firms interested in serving as prime contractors to submit a brief capability statement demonstrating how they could meet the requirements below: DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: This requirement has a Statement of Work Statement (SOW) stating the required services in terms and outcomes to be achieved. The project consists of five (5) tasks. Task 1: Theological Integration Group Training. This involves two components: 1) An Interpersonal Group experience composed of 18 1.5 hour sessions, led by two professionals, one of whom must be a Full American Association of Pastoral Counselors (AAPC) Diplomate and American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) Approved Supervisor, and 2) a theological integration group experience composed of 18 1.5 hour sessions equally divided between the Fall and Spring Academic Semesters, led by a professional who is both an AAPC Diplomate and AAMFT Approved supervisor. Total group training will be at least 36 hours. The Interpersonal Group gives an opportunity for the chaplains to explore how their own lives and families of origins can impact what goes on in the counseling room. The Theological Integration Group will assist the chaplains in integrating their faith beliefs with secular counseling models. Task 2: Person of the Pastor Individual Supervision. Contractor provides 20 individual hours of supervision for six student chaplains. Focus of the supervision will be on the integration of personal factors, religious faith, and pastoral counseling skills. Task 3: Peer Supervision Consultation. Provide the Center's director and supervisory candidate with 30 one-hour consultation sessions. This provides an opportunity to participate in a supervision-of-supervision group. This helps polish the director's and supervisory candidate's skills as supervisors of counselors. Task 4: Supervision of Supervision. Provide 30, 50 minute supervision of supervision sessions to Center's director. This provides the Center's director individual supervision-of-supervision. These sessions serve to ensure the Director is providing the best possible supervision of the chaplain students. In the same way the chaplain students are accountable to their supervisors this provides accountability for the Center's director. Task 5: Administer Exams. Conduct a mid and end of year written evaluation of each student-chaplain. Deliverable Schedule: All services will be provided at the Family Life Chaplain Training Center, 7031 Lincoln Avenue, BLDG 974, Ft Benning, GA 31905.. Contractor Furnished Property The contractor will provide his/her own transportation. There will be no provisions for lodging, medical benefits, retirement or workman's compensation. The contractor is also responsible for their own tax liability and reporting.
