Description
The Contractor is responsible for providing direction and guidance to the Mission in relations to building the agriculture value chain and seeking economic opportunities afforded through the agribusiness. Solicitation No. 279-14-501 ISSUANCE DATE: June 30, 2014 CLOSING DATE: 4:30 pm Cairo time on July 15, 2014 SUBJECT: USAID/Sanaa, Yemen Solicitation for U.S. Personal Services Contractor [USPSC ] - For Senior Agriculture Advisor Ladies/Gentlemen: The United States Government, represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), is seeking applications from U.S. citizens interested in providing PSC services as described in the attached solicitation. Applicants must be able to obtain a Facility/Computer Access security clearance. Due to the high security threat level in Yemen, the expectation is the PSC will work from his/her home in the US, with at least one trip per month to Washington DC to meet with USAID ME/IPA and other donors, partners, and stakeholders. The Contractor will also travel to Yemen on TDY at least twice during the period of employment. Submissions shall be in accordance with the attached information at the place and time specified and must include signed OF-612 and a written statement that responds to the requirements of the position (Education/Experience/Language/Knowledge/Skills & Abilities required for the position). The evaluation and selection process usually takes two to three months after the deadline. Shortlisted applicants are invited for tests and/or interviews during this time frame. Due to the high volume of applications, only candidates who are seriously being considered for a position are contacted for an interview. Interviewed candidates will normally be advised of the outcome of the selection process after a period of about four weeks.
