- DLA MARITIME PUGET SOUND intends to issue a solicitation for centrifugally cast sleeves, copper-nickel alloy castings, ASTM B369-09 with supplementary requirements for the following quantities: Two (2) EA, for Upper Rudder Stock Sleeve; Two (2) EA, for Lower Rudder Stock Sleeve; Four (4) EA, for Propeller Shaft Intermediate Strut Bearing; Four (4) EA, for Stern Tube Shaft Fwd Bearing Sleeve; Four (4) EA, for Stern Tube Shaft Fairing Sleeve; Four (4) EA, for Stern Tube Aft Bearing Sleeve; Four (4) EA, for Stern Tube Aft Bearing Sleeve; Nine (9) EA, for Intermediate Shaft Sleeve; and Four (4) EA, for Propeller Strut Bearing Sleeve. These items comprise pieces from NAVSEA Drawings: 119-6659793 REV C, 203-4325144 REV W, and 203-4325141 REV AC, which vendors must have access to, as it will not be provided with the solicitation. Level I Material Certification, Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Weldability Testing, and Radiography Certification are required, among other data to be specified in the solicitation. This requirement will be solicited on an unrestricted basis using the acquisition procedures at FAR Part 13 and 15. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a firm fixed-price contract. This requirement will utilize low-price, technically acceptable (LPTA) evaluation factors in determining the successful offeror. The applicable NAICS Code is 331529. Offers shall be FOB Destination to Bremerton, WA. The solicitation number for this requirement is SPMYM2-14-R-0002. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available for download on or around 07 July 2014. The closing date of the solicitation will be specified in the solicitation document block nine (9). The RFP will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link at https://www.neco.navy.mil and will also be available for download at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFP from these websites and to frequently monitor the sites for any amendments to the RFP. A bidders list will not be maintained by this office, no telephone or fax requests for the RFP package will be accepted. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFP and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render vendor offer non-responsive and result in rejection of the same. Firms interested in submitting proposals must: (1) complete the pricing, (2) complete all representation and certifications found in the solicitation, (3) provide manufacturer information of proposed items, and (4) ensure current registration in the SAM system at htpps://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/.
