- This is not a Request for Project Proposals and/or Task Request, but for planning purposes only. A project award will not be awarded from this announcement. The Government intends to announce a Request for Project Proposal (RPP) for execution of project award(s) in support of the National Rotorcraft Technology Center (NRTC) FY15 Program. The purpose of this announcement is to provide members of the Vertical Lift Consortium, and industry in general, advanced notification of Government intent. As a result of the Vertical Lift Initiative Industry Day in May 2009, one (1) consortium formed, the Vertical Lift Consortium. It is the intent of the Government to make award(s) to the Vertical Lift Consortium as a result of Request for Project Proposal 3 (RPP3). The anticipated NRTC areas of interest for which project proposals will be sought is as follows: a) Airworthiness and Rapid Certification of Complex Systems; b) Extreme Reliability and Structural Integrity and Zero Maintenance Aircraft Systems; c) Aeromechanics Modeling, Design, and Analysis d) Advanced Vehicle Management Systems and Controls; e) Cargo Handling and Delivery; f) Acoustics; g) Advanced component design and analysis tools; h) Experimental Aerodynamics and Aeromechanics; i) Rotorcraft Drives Technology. The Request for Project Proposals (W15QKN-10-9-0003-RPP3) will be issued to the Vertical Lift Consortium's Administrative Agent, SCRA Applied R&D, who will then issue the request to the Consortium.
