Description
The Social Security Administration (SSA) in the San Francisco Region 9 has a requirement for Investigative Services through State, county or local government for investigators who have law enforcement authority in the State of California. This requirement is for the investigation of suspected fraud activities against the agency's Title II and Title XVI Disability Programs (including Title XIX Medicaid) in the Los Angeles, CA metropolitan area including Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, and Orange counties. The requirements include: (1) State wide law enforcement and arrest authority for the State of California; (2) Access to reports which are restricted to law enforcement officials; (3) A license to carry a concealed weapon (must be armed), and (4) Training in arrest techniques. The government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract with a base year and four additional option years. This acquisition is in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, NAICS code 561611, size standard $12.5 million. To be eligible for an award, all potential contractors will be required to pass a Security Suitability before beginning performance on an award. Prospective contractors must be registered and active in the System for Management Award (SAM) database at http://www.sam.gov and have a Dun & Bradstreet number and Tax Identification Number (TIN) that database is http://www.dnb.com or by calling 1-866-705-5711. The solicitation is schedule for release on or about July 15, 2014, with a due date for response August 15, 2014, by 2:00 pm. Any questions regarding the solicitation are due July 29, 2014, by 2:00 pm (PST). All answers to questions will be in the form of an amendment to the solicitation.
