Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. INSTRUCTIONS TO VENDORS: This is a request for information (RFI) purely for purposes of market research. If you feel you can meet this requirement, please email a capability statement to Anthony.Balestreri@va.gov and Anne.Cardenas@va.gov demonstrating your qualifications (especially of key personnel) by 07/09/2014 at 5:00 PM EST. Background: The primary purpose for this short term acquisition is to ensure continuity in the delivery of two Whole Health courses that were deployed in FY14. This acquisition supports the continued deployment of two Whole Health courses that were specifically developed to advance VHA employee skill in the delivery of personalized, proactive, patient-driven care. Key components of this approach to health care include the following: oPersonal vision and mission for life and health, oPersonalized health planning, oIntegrative medicine and self-care skill building and knowledge acquisition, oLifestyle and behavior change strategies, and oSupport to succeed with and from significant others, health care team members, and the community. The contractor shall deliver the previously developed Whole Health: Change the Conversation - Advancing Skills in the Delivery of Personalized, Proactive, Patient-Driven Care clinical program for 8 sessions of up to 48 clinicians per session. (384 VHA clinicians). Each session is a minimum of 2.5 days. Additionally, the contractor shall deliver eight (8) sessions of the previously developed Whole Health: Change the Conversation Clinical Program. Key Personnel proposed shall have knowledge in the following: Subject Matter Experts for Whole Health: Change the Conversation Clinical Course: A minimum of two faculty will attend each course; one is an integrative medicine physician with expert clinical and teaching skills, and the second is a clinician with integrative health experience who is an expert facilitator and instructor. Both will provide expert instruction, technical guidance, and direction for participant knowledge and skill application. Minimum education: Physician and 15 years of specific experience; and Master's Degree and 15 years of specific experience. Subject Matter Experts for Whole Health Coaching: Two specific roles are identified as critical to the established Whole Health Coaching Program: Co-Trainers and Mentors. All must be highly skilled health coaches and able to provide technical guidance and effective participant feedback to enhance skill and application. The trainers must also provide expert instruction and training facilitation. Minimum education: Lead Trainer - Master's Degree and 15 years health coaching experience. Co-Trainer - Master's Degree and minimum of 5 years health coaching experience. Mentors - Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years health coaching experience.
