- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial service prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) and the solicitation number is W81XWH-14-T-0333. This acquisition is full and open. The NAICS code covering this procurement is 541690 and the Size Standard is $14M. The Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DcoE) requires the following: Procurement of maintenance support and subscription services for the VMware virtualization software solutions currently in place at the Defense Center of Excellence (DCOE) network facility in Crystal City, VA. Please see attached solicitation document W81XWH-14-T-0333 with incorporated provisions and clauses and the Statement of Work (SOW). This combined synopsis/solicitation will be acquired under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal. Under each item listed below will be the brand name requested and the salient characteristics of equal items. The contractor shall provide maintenance support and subscriptions service for the products as configured below. This requirement has been reviewed and contains no functions that are inherently governmental functions. All support is strictly non-personal in nature. The due date for quotes will be July 18 by 4:00pm EST. Period of performance: The period of performance will be for a base period and one option year from the date of contract award. Quote Acceptance Period. The quote acceptance period is 90 days after the date set for receipt of quotes. The offeror shall make a clear statement in the signed offer that the quote is valid until this period has ended. The quote should be legible and should not exceed a total of 25 pages. The Offeror shall submit their quote as Firm Fixed Price.
