- Synopsis The 341st Contracting Squadron intends to issue a solicitation for a commercial services contract for Refuse Services at Malmstrom AFB, MT Missile Alert Facilities (MAFs). The requirement will be advertised restricted to small business entities for a firm fixed price contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this solicitation is 562111 and the small business size standard is $35.50. Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform refuse removal services at Malmstrom AFB, MT MAFs. OBJECTIVES: The contractor shall perform to the standards in the contract as well as all local, state, and federal regulations. Estimated workload factors are in Appendix A and collection areas are in Appendix B of the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The period of performance will be one 1-year base period (1 Oct 2014-30 Sep 2015); plus four 1-year option periods and one 6-month option to extend services IAW FAR 52.217-8. The total contract period of performance will not exceed 5 years and 6 months. The resultant solicitation will be a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) and a multiple awards will be made based on commercial procedures found in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13. The RFP number will be FA4626-14-R-0034 and will be issued via FedBizOpps (FBO) as will any amendments to the solicitation. The anticipated date the RFP will be available is 18 July 14. A pre-proposal conference and site visit is anticipated approximately 10 days after solicitation release. Paper copies of the solicitation and amendments will not be mailed. All offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) in order to be eligible for award. Payment for this acquisition will be made through the Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) system. Contractors must be registered in WAWF. Wide Area Work Flow can be accessed at www.dfas.mil/ecommerce, customer support 1-866-618-5988. The single source of entry for all documentation pertaining to this acquisition will be posted on the government procurement website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. All interested parties are responsible for checking this website to ensure they have the most current information (i.e., amendments issued, changes to the Statement of Work (SOW), etc.). The government contemplates using a set-aside competitive small business and the award of a firm fixed price contract as a result of the solicitation.
