- Equipment plan drawings of greenhouse Scope of Work (with drawings) Replace Racks and Pinions, Pole Rods, and Lifter Lugs For Roof Vents in Greenhouse Bays, Bldg 4385 (NAICS Code: 236220) Location: USDA ARS PGRCU, 1109 Experiment Street, Griffin, GA 30223 USDA ARS Plant Genetic Resources Conservation Unit (PGRCU) has a requirement to replace existing racks and pinions and pole rods for roof vents in the east and west side bays, and to replace lifter lugs in the west side bays, of the Greenhouse Complex Bldg, #4385. Corridors and vestibules are excluded. Location is within the University of Georgia (UGA) Griffin Campus at 1109 Experiment Street, Griffin, GA 30223. Description: (drawings attached) The Type B, single greenhouse (west side) at USDA Griffin has one double row of full length vents being 96' long with racks and pinions on 4' centers for a total of 24 per run for two runs, making a total of 48 racks and pinions to be replaced. Also, pole rods that racks and pinions are attached to, and 48 lifter lugs, are to be replaced on this side. The Type C, double greenhouse (east side) at USDA Griffin has two double rows of full length vents each being 96' long with racks and pinions on 4' centers for a total of 24 per run for four runs, making a total of 96 racks and pinions to be replaced. Also, pole rods that racks and pinions are attached to are to be replaced. NO lifter lugs are to be replaced on this side. The contractor shall supply all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision to complete the project. Replacement racks, pinions, pole rods, lifter lugs, etc., shall be new and equal to or better than existing. The contractor shall propose any additional items that are determined to significantly impact function or low maintenance objectives. All materials shall be installed in accordance with local, state, and federal codes governing construction. All work performed and all material and equipment furnished shall be free from defects and shall remain so for a period of at least one (1) year from date of acceptance. Prior to leaving the site, the contractor shall clean and remove all debris and restore location to the same aesthetics prior to beginning work. Contractor's working hours shall be scheduled to coincide with the working hours of the UGA Griffin Campus which are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Should it be necessary to work hours other than the regular working hours, the contractor shall arrange for access to the area with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) at the site approximately three days prior to his/her need.
