- NOTICE OF INTENT The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7, intends to award a sole-source contract to Georgia State/Georgia Tech Center for Advanced Brain Imaging (CABI), Office of Sponsored Programs, 505 Tenth Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30332-0420. The contractor will provide support for the Rehabilitation Research & Development, Atlanta VA Medical Center, 1670 Clairmont Road, Decatur, GA 30033. The Georgia State and Georgia Tech CABI offers state-of-the-art hardware and software designed specifically for research, as well as technical support for designing and implementing research protocols, and is critical to completion for the Rehabilitation Research & Development Department. The CABI center will provide high quality structural and functional Magnetic Resonance Images from the Siemens 3Telsa Magnetom Trio. Storage will also be provided for imaging data via the computer server that also has RAID backup. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation for offers. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product to Takya Smith, Contract Specialist, at takya.smith@va.gov by July 9, 2014 by 3:00 PM EST. All capability statements received by the closing of this notification will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 541712. This is for informational purposes only and not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Any information submitted to this notice of intent is voluntary.
