Description
TITLE: Transformer Replacement, Portland District: The Dalles Dam, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). The purpose of this SOURCES SOUGHT is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, manufacturing lead times, and qualifications of various members of industry. This announcement seeks information from industry, which will be used for preliminary planning purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this SOURCES SOUGHT. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITIATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this SOURCES SOUGHT or any follow up information requests. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, is looking to solicit for award a Firm Fixed Price Commercial Acquisition under FAR Part 12 and 15 for the supply of one (1) Class II Three-phase GSU Power Transformer and eighteen (18) Single-phase GSU Power Transformers for The Dalles Dam, located in The Dalles, Oregon. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT in support of market research being conducted to identify capable potential sources for the supply the supply of: Included are the draft specification sheets. 1. Class II Three-phase GSU Power Transformer One (1): Design, manufacture, and factory testing of three-phase generator step-up (GSU) power transformer rated 175,000/233,333 kVA, 230 kV high-voltage, 13.2 kV low-voltage, Class ODAF/ODAF cooling, for delivery f.o.b. to include transformer shipment, hauling, site movement, reassembly and field testing. 2. Class II Single-phase GSU Power Transformers Three (3): Design, manufacture, and factory testing of single-phase generator step-up (GSU) power transformers rated 9,000/12,000 kVA, 115 GrdY/66.395 kV high-voltage, 13.2 kV low-voltage, Class ONAN/ONAF cooling, for delivery f.o.b. to include transformer shipment, hauling, site movement, reassembly and field testing. Three (3): Design, manufacture, and factory testing of single-phase generator step-up (GSU) power transformers rated 37,800/50,400/63,000 kVA, 115 GrdY/66.395 kV high-voltage, 13.2 kV low-voltage, Class ONAN/ONAF/ONAF cooling, for delivery f.o.b. to include transformer shipment, hauling, site movement, reassembly and field testing. Twelve (12): Design, manufacture, and factory testing of single-phase generator step-up (GSU) power transformers rated 37,800/50,400/63,000 kVA, 230 GrdY/132.790 kV high-voltage, 13.2 kV low-voltage, Class ONAN/ONAF/ONAF cooling, for delivery f.o.b. to include transformer shipment, hauling, site movement, reassembly and field testing. Responses to this SOURCES SOUGHT shall include the following information: 1. Firm's name, address, DUNS number, point of contact to include phone number and email address. 2. Firm's capability to perform a contract of this magnitude and complexity, include comparable work performed (a minimum of three (3) examples). a. Brief description of the project, b. customer name, c. timeliness of performance, d. customer satisfaction, e. dollar value of the project 3. If the Prime Contractor submitting the sources sought information is not the manufacturer, what manufacture(s) would be utilized to supply the 4 different sizes of transformers? 4. What is the anticipated lead time for manufacturing if award is to be made on or around 1 February 2015 for the 18 transformers? 5. Firm's business category and size. 6.
