Description

Synopsis: Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. Network Contracting Office (NCO) 3 of the Department of Veterans Affairs is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing "Hotel Accommodation for Veterans Patients" for the New Jersey Healthcare System (NJHCS), East Orange Campus. "The hotel/motel shall be located within a ten (10) mile radius of the VA New Jersey Health Care System, located at 385 Tremont Ave, West Orange, NJ 07018. "Daily room rates, shall include all fee and applicable taxes and any other no-charge services offered to guests such as continental breakfast, parking, wireless internet access, fitness center, pool, complimentary refreshments and evening socials when available. Rates quotes shall not include sales tax. The VAMC is a Federal institution and therefore exempt from paying sales tax. Room rates offered shall be Single Occupancy, and shall provide a minimum of two (2) double beds. The VA patient shall be allowed one caregiver/driver/attendant to stay in the same room with the veteran, at the single occupancy rate when pre-authorized by the VA. "50 rooms (50 nights) for VA guests at the applicable rates, to be used Monday through Friday "Each room shall be on the ground floor, wheelchair accessible or be ADA compliant elevator serviced. "The rooms shall be smoke-free "Rooms shall be located in as reasonably quiet or tranquil part of the hotel/motel as possible "Hotel shuttle transportation, if available, will be accessible for ambulatory patients to be transported between the hotel and VA New Jersey Health Care System during the hours of 10:00am until 2:00pm. "Rooms should be equipped with a kitchen, refrigerator, stovetop, dishes, and microwave The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 721110. Responses to this notice must be submitting in writing (email or fax) and must be received not later than July 7, 2014 at 5:00 PM. Email: andres.cepeda@va.gov and Fax: 718-741-4722. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Interested parties MUST provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities, DUNS number and address, point of contact and social-economic. Interested parties who do not submit the above information on or before the response due date and time will not be considered for this procurement. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 721110. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
