- Narrative Additional information included 1. Background. The 12 th Marine Corps District has a requirement to obtain the parts and services for removal/replacement of Audio & Video (A/V) car sound systems in eight (8) Hummer H3s which are used as Event Marketing Vehicles (EMVs). EMVs are utilized by the District and subordinate units to greatly enhance the recruiting effort at high profile events for Area Canvassing. 2. Requirements. The contractor shall meet items shall: 2.1. Removal and Installation. The contractor shall remove the existing audio equipment, uniformly design and install a custom A/V car system (Marketing System Display(s)) in each of the eight (8) Hummer H3s. 2.2. The contractor shall utilize the Marketing System Display design (see Attachment 1) provided by the Government. No substitutions are acceptable. The contractor shall utilize the quantities and types of Government-Furnished Material (GFM) specified in the the design. 2.3. The contractor shall install the most current A/V components, products and hardware that are identical in brand, model and warranty throughout each EMV. 2.4. The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, equipment, supplies, and tools, necessary to install a new system in each EMV All necessary wires, adaptors, and accessories required to operate each new system shall be included. 2.5. The contractor shall complete the removal and installation of the Marketing System Displays for two (2) EMVs within fourteen (14) calendar days. Upon satisfactory completion of removal and installation of Marketing System Displays in each set of EMVs, the Government will provide the next set of two (2) until all eight (8) EMVs are complete. 2.6. The contractor shall update the Government on the status of removal/installation NLT the fifth day of installation via telephone or email. 3. Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE). 3.1. The Government will provide two (2) EMVs at one time for removal and installation of Marketing System Displays. 3.2. The Government will provide ammunition containers, ammunition casings (expended), expended AT-4s and expended TOW missile tubes for use in decorating the Marketing System Displays. 4. Testing: The A/V car system shall be tested and demonstrated for a thorough understanding of all the equipment, capabilities, and functionality, by the Government. 5. Period of Performance: Note: The period of performance is subject to change upon award. The Contractor shall complete this req uirement NLT four (4) months ARO. 6.
