- Description
- The National Park Service (NPS), Grand Canyon National Park (GRCA) intends to procure shuttle bus operation services. The contractor will be responsible for fully operating the GRCA visitor transportation system to ensure safe, efficient operations and a high-quality visitor experience and in accordance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as with general industry standards. The contractor shall provide timely, safe and courteous service while operating Government provided shuttle buses on routes and schedules approved by the NPS. The contractor will be required to maintain all vehicles associated with the visitor transportation system in a safe and clean manner and in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations as well as with all federal, state and local regulations and general industry standards. The proposed contract will be a firm fixed price (FFP) contract for an initial year with four one-year options. The contract will also contain time and material (T&M) line items for repairs. A solicitation will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at www.fbo.gov on or about 7-22-14. The solicitation will close on or about 8-21-14. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be provided. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor FBO to download applicable documents and check for amendments. Award is anticipated on or about 10-30-14. Performance will be at GRCA. Details of an organized site visit, if held, will be included in the solicitation. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with NPS may register at FedConnect at www.fedconnect.net. To receive any contract award, contractors must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. All responsible sources may submit a proposal that will be considered by the agency. Responses must include all information requested in the solicitation. All responses must be submitted in writing to the Arizona Major Acquisition Buying Office (AZ MABO), Attn: Bryan Gregory, by email to bryan_gregory@nps.gov.
