This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE only. Responses to this notice will be used for information and planning purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this notice. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. This notice shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System (GCVHCS) has a requirement for Emergency Room Physicians that are Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and have current ACLS and BLS certifications. The VA is a Level II Medical Facility with a level III Emergency Department, operating 24/7 365 days a year. The Offeror is requested to have a minimum of five (5) ER physicians of their own providers and then the full ten (10) to fifteen (15) by contract start that meet this requirement and also carry Medical Liability Insurance. Current contract provides 10 fully credentialed ER Physicians. Absolutely no contact with current physicians is allowed until after contract award. There will be time allowed for credentialing (4-8 weeks). In addition, another ER Physician shall provide double coverage from the hours of 10 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday which is not part of the current contract. Offeror's response to this Notice shall be limited to 10 pages and shall include the following information: "Offeror's company name, DUNS, address, point of contact, title, phone number, and email address "Offeror's interest in bidding on the solicitation when it is issued "Offeror's capability to meet this requirement (may include physician resumes detailing qualifications and experience) including any current contracts (Civilian or Government). "Offeror's type of business (small or large) and socioeconomic status whether Service Disable Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned, Hubzone, 8(a), Woman Owned, Small Disadvantaged, etc The NAICS code is 621111, Offices of Physicians (except Mental Health Specialists) (size standard of $10.0 million). Responses must be received by no later than 4 pm Central, July 31st, 2014. Responses may be emailed to Melanie.Grigsby@va.gov using "sources sought number VA256-14-R-1173" in the subject line. Facsimile responses will not be accepted. Responses may be mailed to Melanie Grigsby, Contract Specialist, 400 Veterans Ave (NCO16), Building T102, Room A108, Biloxi, MS 39531-2410. After review of the responses to this sources sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be published on the FBO website. Responses to this sources sought notice are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought notice. All interested parties are reminded to be registered with System Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award of Government contracts.
