Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 11, hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole-source, firm fixed, contract to Fresenius Medical Care North, 8504 Falling Water Dr., South Lyon, MI 48178 against schedule contract V797P-5093B. Funding will be less than $500,000 for (24) Fresenius 2008T Hemodialysis Machines with CDX (Clinical Data Exchange) to include installation, clinical, technical training, and a twelve month warranty at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 4646 John R. St, Detroit, Michigan 48201. The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR 6.302-1, "services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source ¦" The contract will be a firm fixed price contract with the NAICS Code of 334510. A Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared. The base period of performance shall be 12 months-from September 15, 2014 ending September14, 2015-with four, one-year, option periods and if exercised would result in an ultimate completion date of September 21, 2019. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 12:00 pm EDST/EDT on July 24, 2014. No telephone inquiries or emails with questions will be accepted. Responses may be mailed to: John D.
