- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) has a requirement for Marotta Controls Inc. (MCI) Internal Countermeasure Launcher (ICL) Firing Valve on the VIRGINA Block IV modified subassemblies, consisting of Pneumatic Pilot Valve, P/N 284031-1005, Hydraulic Interlock Assembly, P/N 236463-1005 and Screws, P/N 103570. NUWCDIVNPT intends to award a Firm Fixed Contract to Marotta Controls Inc., 78 Booton Avenue, Montville, NJ 07045 because they are the original equipment manufacturer for the VA class ICL Firing Valve. They designed and manufactured the valves and valve parts for the US Navy for new construction submarines. Marotta Controls Inc. owns the detailed design drawings, detailed qualification testing procedures (shock and operational) and detailed assembly documents. Exact part replacements are needed to ensure compatibility and interchangeability for full operation of the VA Class Block IV ICL Firing Valve. Required delivery date 09/29/2014. F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport, Newport, RI. This requirement is unrestricted under NAICS 332911; size standard is 500 employees. Further details will be released upon issue of RFQ # N66604-14-Q-142326 on or about July 28, 2014.
