- Project Title: Demolition of Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) in P-10690, Fort Drum, New York The purpose of this Sources Sought Synopsis is to determine if a sufficient number of certified HUBZone small businesses exist to warrant issuance of a solicitation for this requirement IAW FAR Part 19.1305 HUBZone Set-Aside Procedures. The Government will use responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis to make an appropriate acquisition decision about soliciting this requirement as a competitive Set-Aside. This is not a Solicitation Announcement, a Request for Quotes (RFQ), a Request for Proposals (RFP), or an Invitation for Bids (IFB). There is no solicitation, specifications, or drawings available, and Vendors should not request a copy of a solicitation. The Government is not obligated to any contract award. Responses to this Sources Sought Synopsis are for PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY, and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Drum, New York has a requirement for the installation of conduit, wiring and testing of a bypass circuit to allow the demolition of the old Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) system in P-10690 at Fort Drum. The Government anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed Price contract for this project. IAW FAR 36.204 -- Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, project is estimated at less than $25,000. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this anticipated acquisition is 238210, Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors, with a size standard of $14.0 Million. A single site visit will be conducted by the Government prior to award, and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with the site visit. Work includes but is not limited to: Install new conduit and demo old; Install new parallel conduits and cables; Connect newly installed cables; Demo old feeder conduits and cabling; Install plugs in panel where conduits have been removed; Demo cables and conduit to junction box and to inverter cabinet; Disconnect Transformer; Demo old transfer switch; Demo batteries, battery cabinets and inverter cabinets; Seal all wall penetrations with fire caulk or foam; Seal all panels and boxes with knock-out plugs. The Contractor shall comply with FAR clause 52.222-6, Construction Wage Rate Requirements. Construction Wage Requirements NY85 at time of solicitation will apply.
