THIS ANNOUNCEMENT BEST VIEWED/DOWNLOADED FROM FAA CONTRACT OPPORTUNITIES WEB SITE, HTTPS://FAACO.FAA.GOV, KEYWORD: STAFFORD. This is a market survey for construction project: Thomas P. Stafford Building Wall Panel Replacement at Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, 6500 S. MacArthur Boulevard, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. Contractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, and equipment required for all work as described in the contract documents. All labor, materials and equipment necessary to replace the existing metal panel façade and glass. Also included in base bid is work associated with overhead walkway, and replacing sidewalk at four (4) main entrances. Bid alternates may include replacing metal panels and glass at the four (4) main entrances with a glass curtain wall system and construction four (4) pedestrian entry canopies. Project requires coordination and phasing of panel replacements and roof application without detriment to the watertight integrity of the entire roof system. Project shall be completed within 480 calendar days after notice to proceed. At this time the nature of the competition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside for small businesses. This market survey is being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition and capability exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses. The estimated price range of the project is $8,000,000-$9,000,000. Interested offerors must indicate ability to obtain a bid guarantee in an amount equal to 20% of bid, or $3,000,000, whichever is less. The principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a size standard of $33.5 Million. It is anticipated that solicitation, DTFAAC-14-R-03912, will be issued/posted by July 21, 2014, with proposals due on August 20, 2014. In order to make a set-aside determination the FAA requires the following from interested vendors: 1. Confirmation from vendor s surety that a sufficient bid guarantee can be obtained by the due date for receipt of proposals, 2. Business Declaration form (attached) and a copy of their SBA 8(a) certification letter, if applicable. Interested firms, who can comply with and meet the requirements addressed in this market survey, should respond by 2:00 p.m. CST, July 16, 2014, with required documentation. Responses to the market survey shall be submitted electronically to Connie Houpt, Contracting Officer, connie.m.houpt@faa.gov. All correspondence shall be labeled with: Market Survey, Stafford Building Construction. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor s expense.
