- Description
- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for a Nikon D800 35 Mega Pixel Digital Camera and specialized camera mount that will be used with a 3D Laser Scanner (VZ-400 LiDAR). NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Riegl USA, pursuant to FAR 13.106 for the acquisition of supplies or services determine to be reasonably available from one source. The purchase of the Nikon Camera and custom made camera mount to accompany the Riegl VZ-400 system will be used to document close range features being studied. The items are only provided by Riegl for their VZ-400 LiDAR. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities statement to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:30 p.m. local time on July 24, 2014. Such statements will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an statement which shall be considered by the agency.
