Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 6 Network Contracting Office (NCO) is conducting market research through this sources sought notice to help determine the availability of qualified Small Businesses. The requirement is for the delivery (2) Pathogen Identification Systems Brand Name or BIOFIRE FilmArray to Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Durham, North Carolina. The BIOFIRE FilmArray is an automated multiplex PCR, integrated sample preparation, amplification, detection and analysis of 27 pathogens in one hour. The system is capable of simultaneous detection and identification of multiple bacterial and yeast nucleic acids and select genetic determinants of antimicrobial resistance. The system shall capable of performing DNA/RNA extraction, nucleic acid purification, multiplexed PCR, and generate, detect, and analyze PCR melting curves in one instrument. The Operating System shall be Windows based with software capable of reading Barcodes. This sources sought announcement is not a request for proposals and the Government is not committed to award a contract pursuant to this announcement. The capability statements received from this market research are for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research. The Government will not assume any costs incurred by the contractor in the preparation of responses.
