- Description
- This synopsis provides notice of the Government's intention to issue a Bridge Contract for the current contract # N00019-09-D-0021. The contractor is Airborne Tactical Advantage Company LLC (ATAC). This effort will provide continuity of Contracted Air Services (CAS) LOT II Fighter Jet requirements. The CAS Fighter Jet contract utilizes contractor owned and operated High Subsonic (Type III) and Supersonic (Type IV) aircraft to provide a wide variety of airborne threat simulation capabilities while performing basic, intermediate, and advanced operational forces training. Training end-users include Commander, Naval Air Forces (CNAF), RDT&E and FMS customers, and other DOD agencies. CAS Fighter Jet exercise locations include multiple Continental United States (CONUS) sites and foreign and remote operating bases outside CONUS. The new requirement will cover a period of performance of base period of 3 months plus three, three-month option periods that will commence on 30 July 2014 and end on 29 July 2015, if all options are exercised. The bridge is necessary as the current contract is scheduled to end as of 28 July 2014. The purpose of this requirement is to bridge the gap in CAS services between the period of performance for the current contract and the follow on contract. The CAS LOT II Fighter Jet solicitation for the follow on contract was posted on FBO and the NAVAIR open solicitations website. This solicitation is now closed. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. The incumbent contractor (ATAC) currently has fully trained personnel and a fully developed fleet of aircraft in place for execution of the required services. Re-solicitation for the Bridge Contract period of up to 12 months would result in an unacceptable break in services. For information contact Steven Preston, via email at steven.j.preston@navy.mil. Subcontracting opportunities may be available and should be sought by contacting Jeff Parker of ATAC, via email at jparker@atacusa.com.
