Notice Type: Special Notice Synopsis: Added: July 15, 2014 Intent of Sole Source Notice This is not a request for proposal or a request for quote. There is no solicitation document available. This is a notice of intent of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) at JJP Bronx VA Medical Center Campus to negotiate a sole source contract with Thermo Fisher Scientific for a self- contained inverted microscope - Manufacturer: Life Technologies, Inc. AMAFD-1000 and Device: EVOS FL AUTO, NO OBJ/NO CUBE Microscope system (with accessories). It is in the best interest of the Government to acquire the product through this vehicle to ensure consistent terms and conditions for imaging living cells. Doing so will allow us to take advantage of administrative cost savings. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1).
