Description

The U.S. Food & Drug Administration intends to issue a sole-source purchase order to Seahorse Bioscience for XF96 Extracellular Flux Analyzer which includes: XF FluxPak mini XF96 FluxPak mini, XF Cell Mito Stress Test Kit, XF Glycolysis Stress Test Kit, XF Base Medium (Pack of 2 1-L Bottles), One-year XF96 Analyzer Warranty, XF Training, Installation Kit (XF96 FluxPak mini). XFe96 SPECIFICATIONS: • Size: 40cm W x 50cm D x 57cm H • Weight: approx 23Kg • Power: 100-120VAC, 6 Amps or 240VAC, 3 Amps, 50/60Hz • Analyte1: Oxygen Consumption Rate (OCR) • Analyte2: Extracellular Acidification Rate (ECAR) • Dual Analyte Detection Capability (measures O2 and H+) • Integrated Automated Drug Delivery • Temperature Adjustable Measurement Chamber • Color LCD Touch Screen & Integrated Computer • Windows 7 Operating System • Data Acquisition & Display Software • Excel-based Desktop Analysis Software • 2 XF FluxPaks mini's • One year Warranty Delivery (30 Days ARO) US Food & Drug Administration Laurel, MD 20708 Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements using Simplified Acquisition Procedures per FAR Part 13. The XF Analyzer is the first and only commercially available instrument for scientific research that simultaneously measures both energy in living cells, in real-time, in a microplate. In October 2007 the United States patent office issued Seahorse patent # 7276351 covering the novelty of the measurement for measuring multiple physiological properties of cells. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement within Seven calendar days after the publication of this synopsis which shall be considered by the agency. Responses received after Seven days or without the required information may not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete as a result of information received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
