- Description
- REISSUE OF REQUEST FOR INFORMATION If any vendors/contractors determine they can provide THIS specific oven or an "eqal to" they must provide a spec sheet in order to considered for any future procurement of the oven. ONLY RESPOND IF YOU ARE PROVIDING A SPECIFICATION SHEET REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) DESCRIPTION 1.1 The Non-appropriated Funds Instrumentality (NAFI) Office, Commander Navy Installations Command (CNIC) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI). CNIC is requesting availability for an ITALFORNIE TSA Electric Stone Conveyor Oven or "equal to". The need is for a conveyor tunnel pizza oven that cooks directly on stone that produces a "pizzeria" quality pizza. The oven must also cook other raw dough products such as breads and biscuits with the ease and speed of a conveyor oven. Oven must provide exceptional production speed and ease of use while producing consistent cooking results by a novice user. Oven must have a cook chamber with temperatures of up to 850 degrees and a programmable belt speed. Must also have the capability to provide a made-from-scratch custom topped pizza that can be served in less than 3 minutes. The need may be for a variety of oven sizes and also features both gas and electric models. Features beyond the stone conveyor would include: digital control of the belt speed and independent temperature regulation of the bottom and top heating components. Include LED displays that provide both Celsius and Fahrenheit readings, and programmable digital controls that provide temperature maintenance for the oven to be preset to idle down during slack times to conserve energy at a 50% reduction in power. Oven must have the option of a free standing oven or an oven that can be stacked up to three high. If submitting information for an "equal to" oven, provide a complete specification sheet. Ovens will be used on Navy bases worldwide. Quantities are unkown at this time. 1.2 THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. This RFI is for planning and informational purposes only and shall not be considered as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the NAFI to acquire any products or services. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by NAFI will arise as a result of a response to this RFI or NAFI's use of such information. Data submitted in response to this RFI will not be returned. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. 1.3 THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY FOR A PIZZA OVEN. Please respond by 1600 CDT 23 JULY 2014 and provide questions or requests for clarification that may be necessary in order to submit sufficient information. Submit questions, inquiries and information to Michele Rupe via email at michele.rupe@navy.mil.
