Description
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), on behalf of the Program Executive Office (PEO) Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) Undersea Integration Program Office, PMW 770 Submarine High Data Rate (SunHDR), intends to award a sole source contract (N00039-14-R-0407) Raytheon Company, 1001 Boston Post Rd E Marlborough, MA 01752 to produce 20 OE-562A/USC-38(V) SubHDR Antenna Systems for VA Block IV, Shipbuilding and Conversion Navy, (SCN) submarines. This contract is intended to be a one year Firm Fixed Price (FFP) for hardware items. The SubHDR antenna system provides submarines with high capacity communications in the Extremely High Frequency (EHF) and Super High Frequency (SHF) bands, and enables reception of the Global Broadcast Service (GBS) for US Naval Submarines. As the original equipment designer and sole production manufacturer of the SubHDR, Raytheon is the only company that possesses the detailed knowledge and expertise to perform the aforementioned tasks. The authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers. Responses to this notice of intent to award to Raytheon Company should be submitted no later than fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of this synopsis to Kate McCoy, at Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWR), Code 2.1.2, Building OT4, San Diego, CA 92110-3217 telephone (858) 537-8845 or kate.mccoy@navy.mil. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement.
