Description
Penetratoin Testing Support This is a combined synopsis/solicitatoin for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number is LCITS14Q0169 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. The Contractor shall provide the services of a Penetration Tester with a specialization in methods of evaluating the security of a computer systems, networks and software by simulating attacks by a malicious user. The process involves an active analysis of the system for any potential vulnerabilities that may result from poor or improper system configuration, known and/or unknown hardware or software flaws, or operational weaknesses in process or technical countermeasures. An expert penetration tester should additionally posses the ability to discover and reliably exploit unknown vulnerabilities in targeted software and systems. The Contractor shall provide project management oversight to contractor staff, and report status and issues to the COR. The Contractor shall provide all services, personnel, supplies and necessary equipment to complete the duties as described in the SOW. All plans, procedures, report templates, etc., shall be reviewed and approved by the Library prior to being implemented in the production environment. Approval will be provided to the contractor via email from the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). All interested parties can submit, on company letter head, questions to bpic@loc.gov. Questions are due July 30th, 2014. Answers will be posted no later than August 6th, 2014. All responses are due August 18th, 2014. NO PHONE CALLS.
