Description
Scope of Work- The contractor shall furnish all labor, material, services, insurance permits, equipment, tools, supervision and transportation in accordance with the specifications, drawings and contract provisions. 1.Replace Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) associated equipment including but not limited to: Ductwork Hot and chilled water piping and associated equipment Rooftop packaged units Air handling units Split system direct expansion units including piping and associated equipment Exhaust fans, electric heaters, convectors, humidifiers, diffusers and grilles, louvers and dampers. The entire HVAC system in the airport traffic control tower is essentially being replaced except for most of the piping and for most of the ductwork which is being cleaned. 2.Provide temporary cooling and heating as necessary to provide continuous operation of the airport traffic control tower. Coordinate all work with FAA onsite Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). 3.Replace plumbing fixtures as indicated on drawings and in specifications. 4.Reconnect existing wiring to replaced HVAC equipment. Breakers and branch circuits to remain. Remove circuits as indicated on drawings. place existing electrical wiring to the panel 5.Provide a complete facility DDC system suing bacnet protocols. The system shall control and monitor all HVAC equipment and provide the operators with a user friendly system. 6.Patch and repair all penetrations thru finishes due to relocated or resized HVAC or plumbing equipment. INTERESTED FIRMS MUST HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED SIMILAR PROJECTS BOTH IN DOLLAR AMOUNT AND SCOPE OF WORK WITHIN THE LAST THREE YEARS. The work will be performed in strict accordance with the contract drawings and specifications. Contract performance time is 120 calendar days with an anticipated start date of Fall 2014. The estimated price range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. VERBAL REQUESTS FOR THE SIR WILL NOT BE HONORED. The contractor awarded this contract must have active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) before award can be made. Contractors can register at www.sam.gov All Small Businesses including Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and certified 8(a) contractors are highly encouraged to submit a request for this project. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
