- Personnel Recovery Device Industry Day Announcement Product Manager Air Warrior (PM AW) will host an Industry Day for the anticipated Personnel Recovery Support System (PRSS) Personnel Recovery Device (PRD) acquisition. This announcement is not a formal solicitation and is not a request for a proposal. This event is open to Department of Defense Government and US Industry representatives. Date: 14 August 2014 Location: Jackson Center 600 Genome Way Huntsville, AL 35806 (This is a private drive, so please use the alternate address of 6001 Moquin Drive, Huntsville, AL 35806 for your GPS device.) Time: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time (CDT) The purpose of this event is to provide an opportunity for PM AW to inform industry of the Government's projected requirements for the PRSS PRD Program. The Government's intent is to provide an overview of the PRSS PRD technical requirements, acquisition approach, evaluation process and contract strategy for industry. Additionally, the Government intends for the event to foster communications with industry which may result in solicitation improvements. A general question and answer period will follow. The remainder of the day will be available for one-on-one sessions between industry representatives and the Government. Each individual vendor is limited to one (1) 15 minute meeting to discuss specific questions with Government personnel including the PRSS PRD Assistant Product Manager and engineers. Vendors interested in registering to attend the PRSS PRD Industry Day should submit their company name and attendee names NLT 4:00 p.m. CDT on 11 August 2014 by email to MAJ Scott M. Davis at scott.m.davis1.mil@mail.mil. Vendors should express their interest in participating in a 15 minute breakout meeting upon registration. The meetings will be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. Each vendor is limited to four representatives. Upon arrival at the event all attendees are required to present Government issued photo identification. Attendees will be responsible for their own food and beverages, other than water, during the event. All orders must be placed by 11 August 2014. This announcement is for informational planning purposes, does not constitute a formal solicitation or request for proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Attendance at the Industry Day and any discussion/release of information is strictly voluntary. Any formal solicitation will be announced at a later date. The Government reserves the right to cancel this requirement at any time. The Government will not be responsible for any associated costs as a result of prospective offerors interest and/or response to this notice or future solicitation.
