- Notice of Information - LESTARI Notice of Information USAID/Indonesia: LESTARI Reference Number: USAID/Indonesia - LESTARI Release Date: July 17, 2014 The United States Agency for International Development (USAID/Indonesia) is in the process of designing a new stand-alone program and Statement of Work (SOW) to reduce land based greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and conserve valuable biodiversity in carbon rich and biologically significant forest and mangrove ecosystems in priority landscapes in Indonesia. USAID/Indonesia intends to procure this Statement of Work through the REPLACE IQC and anticipates releasing a RFTOP in the next two months. USAID/Indonesia is distributing this Notice of Information in order to provide public information to any REPLACE IQC Task Order holders interested in USAID's support for the reduction of land based greenhouse gas emissions and conservation of biodiversity in carbon rich and biologically significant forest and mangrove ecosystems. USAID/Indonesia held a meeting on July 7, 2014, at the Mandarin Hotel, Jakarta, to present USAID's plans for its overall future forestry program, which is made up of several different activities, and get feedback from various development partners. The meeting discussed USAID's new five-year Country Development Cooperation Strategy, existing forestry programs and their objectives, potential areas for investment under the new forestry program and the timeline for developing USAID's new forestry program. The meeting was attended by more than 50 representatives from Non-Governmental Organizations, private sector, and other development partners. USAID encourages interested parties to view the presentation and recording of the meeting online at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9-yeJrEmV0. If you'd like to provide feedback or have any comments, please contact Heather D'Agnes at hdagnes@usaid.gov and Nassat D. Idris at nidris@usaid.gov. THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
