Description

NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center, Seal Beach hereby issues this Sources Sought Notice for the build-to-spec work of 8 differently configured storage containers for Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC). A total of 33 containers are required in a varying quantity of the different configurations. Construction of containers will take place at each of the following Fleet user ™s facilities: Naval Amphibious Base (NAB) Coronado, CA Joint Expeditionary Base (JEB) Little Creek, VA Blount Island Command Jacksonville, FL This is neither a request for formal Request for Proposals (RFP) or Request for Quotes (RFQ). The Government will not reimburse any costs associated with the development and submission of materials in response to this request. There is no solicitation available at this time. However, should such a requirement materialize, no basis for claims against NAVSUP FLC shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought notice or NAVSUP FLCs use of such information as either part of our evaluation process or in developing specifications for any subsequent requirement. Objective NAVSUP FLC Seal Beach is searching for potential sources capable of performing the requirements set forth in NAVFAC EXWC ™s attached draft Statement of Work (SOW) no drawings are available at this time. The intent of this RFI is to conduct market research, gauge in industry interest, to be made aware of corrugated steel container fabrication capabilities. The following draft document has been attached to this RFI: Statement of Work titled: Sealift Containers SOW Contractor Response Format NAVSUP FLC requests all interested parties, at a minimum, supply the following information: 1. CONTACT INFO a) Name of company, DUNS #, cage code and point of contact (POC) b) Telephone number, address and e-mail address of POC c) Business size and number of employees d) Proposed NAICS and PSC codes 2. CAPABILITY STATEMENT a) A summary of your companys capability and general approach to meet the requirements set for fabrication of the Government modified steel containers per the SOW. 3. PAST PERFORMANCE INFORMATION a) A brief list of Navy, Department of Defense, federal, or commercial contracts supported during the past 36 months, with a brief description of the supply or service provided per each contract. b) List only contracts that provided products or services similar to those currently being sought by the Government in this RFI. 4. ASSUMPTIONS a) A list of assumptions, if any, which were considered in formulating the response. *Please limit responses to two pages total. Brochuremanship need not be included in any responses. It is requested that the above information be provided by 12:00 noon PST on Friday 25 July 2014. Responses shall be submitted via email to Ms. Melissa Franz at: melissa.franz@navy.mil with RFI number N00244-14-R-0031 in the subject of the email
