Description
SOLICITATION GS-07P-14-UA-C-0005 THIS SOLICITATION IS A SET-ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES. The General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service is seeking a construction contractor to furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision to remove and replace three existing cooling towers located on the roof of the Fritz Lanham Federal Building, 819 Taylor Street, Fort Worth, TX. Removing three 500T steel cooling towers from the 14 th floor roof and replacing with three 750T forced-draft counterflow fiberglass cooling towers. Incidental work includes but is not limited to all necessary electrical piping and connections, extending heat trace system, mechanical valves and piping, pipe insulation and jacketing, valve tags and pipe flow/content labeling, modifications and programming to the building automated system (BAS), tower test and balance, steel modifications to the existing support structure, and heavy load hoisting. The contractor shall provide under this solicitation an alternate #1 proposal "or equal" stainless steel tower meeting all the requirements as the fiberglass configuration. The magnitude for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The firm must be a General Construction firm under NAICS: 238220, size standard: $14 million. It is anticipated that this project will take approximately 180 calendar days from notice to proceed. Award of any resulting contract will be based on "best value to the government" methodology. The offeror shall obtain any and all necessary licenses or permits required to perform this work in the State of Texas. The project will require work to be performed within an occupied Federal Building while minimizing disruptions to the operations of the existing facility. This is a SERVICE-DISABLE VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The procurement is subject to availability of funds. All prospective offerors are required to use the System for Award Management www.sam.gov for registering their firm and completing representations and certifications.
