Description
This acquisition is a firm fixed price procurement for miscellaneous repairs, Senator Roth Bridge, Chesapeake & Delaware Canal, New Castle County, Delaware. The work consists of pylon repair including handrail anchorage, anchor points, cable stays, seal cracks and repair spalls; box girder repairs to include repairing deteriorated post tensioning grout blocks, replace electrical conduit expansion joints, junction boxes, seal cracks and repair spalls; Delta Frame repairs, Box Pier repairs, removal and replacement of deteriorated drainage trough; stabilization of construction entrance, patching median slab, riprap installation, re-grading between piers, and touch up spot painting of metal surfaces. The estimated cost range of the project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. The NAICS Code is 237310 and the small business size standard is $36.5 million. Liquidated Damages will be specified. Davis Bacon rates will be applicable to the contract and bonding is required. This procurement is unrestricted. Issue date for the solicitation is on or about August 1, 2014 with bids opening on or about September 3, 2014. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) homepage located at https://www.fbo.gov/. Registration for plans and specifications should be made via the FBO internet homepage. Hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor FBO for any amendments. Contractors who receive a federal contract of $25,000.00 are required by legislation (FAR 22.1310(b)) to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans. Information on submitting your report may be obtained by calling 1-703-461-2460 or by accessing the following internet website: http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/. All contractors must be registered in the DODs System for Award Management database at www.sam.gov (formerly Central Contractor Registration) as required by DFARS 204.1103.
