General Information Document Type: Presolicitation Notice Solicitation Number: AG-0261-S-14-0094 Classification Code: Z - Maintenance, Repair or Alteration of Real Property Set Aside: Small Business NAICS Code -237110 Water & Sewer Line & Related Structure Construction Contracting Office Address U. S. Department of Agriculture, Southwest Idaho/Nevada Acquisition Center (SWINAC), 1249 S. Vinnell Way, Ste. 200, Boise, ID 83709-1663, UNITED STATES Description The intent of this project is to abandon the quasi-municipal well #31669, located at the Austin Ranger District Administrative compound, consistent with State of Nevada Regulations found at NRS 534.420-427. The well was drilled in 1989 and used until the compound was hooked up to the City of Austin municipal water system in the 2000s. The well is 350 feet deep and has a 6-inch diameter casing inside of its original 12 inch diameter construction. The well casing contains a louvered screen (mounted in a flange frame) between 270 and 330 ft depth BGS. The well is currently capped and locked, and is easily accessible from existing dirt roads to the area. The successful contractor will be licensed by the State of Nevada Engineer to perform well abandonment. The well is located on land administered by the Forest Service within the Austin Ranger District in central Nevada. Fallon, the nearest town with commercial services is located approximately 105 miles west of the Site. The solicitation will result in a single award contract. The North American Industry System code is 237110 and the small business size standard is $33.5 Million. This acquisition is a competitive small business set-aside. Other information for vendors is listed below: Registration requires a D-U-N-S Number from Dun and Bradstreet and may take up to three weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. Vendors must have a valid D-U-N-S Number. Vendors can access SAM at http://www.sam.gov. NAICS Code 238320 must be referenced in SAM registration. The solicitation will be issued in approximately today via the Fed Biz Opps website at https://www.fbo.gov. Any amendments will be posted on FBO as well. Paper copies of the solicitation and amendments will not be mailed and no telephone requests for the solicitation will be accepted.
