Description
The potential contractor shall provide all design, labor equipment, materials, supervision, and quality control necessary for constructing a 30 foot by 50 foot metal building for storing a Grove RT530 off-road crane. The work shall be located at the Pickwick Lock in Hardin County, Tennessee. Included in the work are all environmental protection, stripping, earthwork, footing design and construction, 30 foot by 62 foot slab on grade construction, building construction, seeding and mulching, and incidental related work. No survey was conducted for the work to be performed and existing ground information displayed was derived from Google Earth terrain elevations and Google Earth imagery. The contractor will be responsible for verifying all existing conditions and any other additional information required for construction prior to beginning work. The building shall be 30 foot wide by 50 foot long steel frame building, with 26 gauge galvalume sheet walls and roof, one motor operated roll up door, two pedestrian doors, a roof ventilation system, a louver, gutters and down spouts, lighting systems, electrical outlets, and necessary electrical equipment and wiring. External power supply to the building shall be provided to by the government. The contractor will be required to make a stub connection available for the government to connect the external power supply and test all electrical systems using a generator or other private power source prior to final acceptance. Solicitation documents will be available on or about 5 August 2014 on the Federal Business Opportunities website, www.fbo.gov. It is the responsibility of all potential contractors to check the website for any amendments and updates/changes. The construction range of magnitude for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000.
